On the identity of Lepidodexia (Orosarcophaga) ornata (Townsend, 1927) (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) and a new generic synonym

The revision of the sarcophagid species Lepidodexia (Orosarcophaga) ornata (Townsend, 1927) reveals its identity and a generic synonym. male terminalia this was studied in detail for first time revealed congeneric affinities with Oxyvinia Dodge, 1966. Consequently, status Orosarcophaga Townsend, 1927 revalidated, including 1966 as junior synonym, O. corroborated valid name. Moreover, we provide an updated diagnosis Orosarcophaga, list eleven genus their distribution, detailed ornata.
